W Hotels were involved in Fashion Week for the 13th year in a row, once again engaging with the vibrant world of fashion. Hotel industry innovators, the company boasts 14 properties in some of the most exciting cities in the world, combining fashion, music, art and food to offer a truly luxurious lifestyle experience. It’s no surprise that W Hotels sponsored shows by Monique Pean, Bibhu Mohaptra, Sophie Theallet and Rebecca Moses, which took place at the Lincoln Centre, the new location for Fashion Week.
Showing their passion for fashion, the W New York was the location of the only Fashion Week backstage lounge. VIPs checked in and out through the week as celebrity DJs, such as The Golden Filter spun tracks. The fortunate few were offered customised cocktails, such as the ‘Coco Cocktail’ and ‘Poncho Punch’, created especially by the Gerber Group. The W New York Times Square also showcased the work of photographer, Annemarieke Van Drimmelen and designers, Juan Carlos Obando and George Esquivel.
This year, well-known designer, Jason Wu organised his first after-show party in the very hotel that pioneered his first show, the stylish St Regis. Numerous renowned designers attended, accompanied by the young fashion pack.
The St Regis sits in the heart of Manhattan and prides itself on going above and beyond expectations with their iconic butler service and flawless staff. The rooms and suites feature custom-made Louis XVI style furnishings, silk wall coverings and marble baths.
After a crazy week of running from show to party and back to show again, the W New York offers the perfect remedy: an aromatic steam room and indulgent massage in the hotel’s Bliss 49 Spa. This should, of course, be accompanied with a feast at the chocolate brownie buffet! It really is the perfect spot to transcend into sensual bliss before heading to the rest of the shows…
