What do you love most about Brazil?

I came to Brazil with the idea to do something creative as the country has so much to discover and give. Brazil has an amazing untouched nature and the people are very happy. As a result of my passion for Brazil, I decided to build the hotel’s 20 rooms based on themes that enhance Brazilian artists. The rooms and suites serve as an exhibition for uniquely designed pieces, which make reference to music, photography, literature, art, nature, history, fashion and Negro culture.

The special thing about Madrid is that although it’s a big city, most people that live there come from different regions of Spain, so the majority of people are away from home. Therefore the city becomes the common place for everyone – it’s easy to make friends in Madrid who become your family. You have the benefits of living in a capital city that is full of culture, events and history, with a ‘town’ atmosphere that makes you feel you belong in Madrid, even if it’s not where you were born.

What do you like best about living in Miami?

By far, my favourite thing about this city is the diversity and the passion by which people live their lives here. On any given day, I’m in contact with people from at least five nationalities and each one will share a part of their culture with me. It’s a perfect melting pot where cultures mix and many times merge into what is considered Miami’s true essence – no-one is a foreigner here, everyone belongs.
