As guests sails along the Seine, Ferrari merchandise will be auctioned in aid of the charity, Make-A-Wish France.

Make-A-Wish aims to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The charity has worked to achieve this since its beginnings in 1980, and today 25,000 volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers and special events assistants. Wishes have been granted for 250,000 children across the globe, who have enjoyed trips to Disney World, been rock stars for a day and met their favourite sports personalities. As the charity continues to grow, it aims to keep giving children the chance to gain strength as their wishes are granted.

Tonight, a wish will be granted for six-year-old Martin who is passionate about racing cars, Ferrari and Formula 1. Martin, his father and grandfather will be picked up from Hotel Sezz by the Ferrari, which will take them to the yacht as VIP guests.

FF Passion 4 Tour: Luxembourg to Brussels

The Ferrari team embarked on the penultimate leg of the FF Passion 4 Tour yesterday, journeying from one country to another after spending the night in enchanting Luxembourg. They had the pleasure of travelling southwards through the beautiful, verdant Ardennes region before crossing the border into Belgium and arriving in the capital city, Brussels.

Although best known for being the headquarters of the European Union, there is much more to Brussels than politics. This compact city is brimming with history, fine cuisine, intriguing architecture and understated sophistication, yet remains one of Western Europe’s lesser-known capitals. A true hidden gem, the city is multicultural, laid-back and artistic. Brussels’ many must-see sights include the Atomium, a monument of a single iron crystal cell magnified 165 billion times and BOZAR, a cultural centre that hosts exhibitions, performances and workshops based around art, theatre, music and dance. FF Passion 4 Tour: Colmar to Luxembourg

Leaving Colmar behind, the Ferrari drivers began their journey to Luxembourg, travelling through the Alsace region of France and across the border into the town of Esch-sur-Alzette.

The second city of Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette sits just over the French border, nestled in the heart of the Park District, a short distance from the country’s capital. Home to the historic Berwart Tower that was built in 1621 and a large verdant park, the city also has a National Museum of Resistance, where Lucien Wercollier’s sculpture, The Political Prisoner, can be seen. Boasting historical sporting achievements, the city was the birthplace of the country’s first football clubs, one of which, Jeunesse Esch, has been the most successful club in the country’s history.

The drivers were offered the chance to spend the night at the luxury and contemporary property, The Seven Hotel. The boutique hotel is housed in an innovative building and is home to just 14 charming rooms and one indulgent suite that occupies the top floor of the hotel. The property features chic decor and comfortable furnishings. Continue reading

FF Passion 4 Tour: Lyon to Colmar

After leaving the lively and dynamic city of Lyon, the team travelled northwards through France before arriving last night in the rustic Alsatian town of Colmar, just south of Strasbourg, in one of France’s most famous wine-making regions. They weaved through a patchwork of unspoiled green landscapes, castles, quaint villages and of course vineyards; the beautiful surroundings that  make this one of the country’s most popular driving routes.

French writer Georges Duhamel proclaimed Colmar the “most beautiful town in the world” and it’s not hard to see why. With colourful, rambling buildings along the banks of the Lauch River, picture-perfect Colmar is quintessential small-town charm at its best. Founded in the 9th century, Colmar is famed for its well-preserved old town and Gothic architecture, such as the Saint Martin Collegiate Church and the Dominican Church. The town simply oozes history, and has been christened the ‘capital of Alsatian wine’. Continue reading

FF Passion 4 Tour: Les Gorges du Tarn to Lyon

Following a weekend break in Les Gorges du Tarn, the drivers hit the road again, and weaved their way through the pretty French countryside of the Rhône-Alpes region, heading towards the bustling city of Lyon.

Named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998, Lyon is one of the country’s largest, liveliest cities. Home to Roman and Renaissance districts, it boasts stunning architecture that dates back to the 12th century. Narrow winding streets and the Rhîne and Saône rivers weave their way through the city’s picturesque hillsides.

Historically renowned for the production of gorgeous silk, the city is now also recognised as a food lover’s paradise. There are just 26 restaurants in France that boast three Michelin stars, five of which are located in Lyon, inviting gourmet gurus from all over the world.

Following their arrival yesterday afternoon, the drivers spent a luxurious night at Le Pavillon de la Rotonde, an elegant boutique property set in picturesque gardens just outside the city, in Charbonnières-les-Bains. Continue reading
