Splendia News: We’ve had a Makeover!

Have you noticed our new website design? We’ve had a makeover and now have a fresh new look!

At Splendia, we’re passionate about evolving with the times and constantly improving – we want to be sure we provide our customers with just what they want. So, earlier this year, we did a survey to help us find out. We’re making many improvements and trying out lots of new ideas based on this survey, and the changes you can see on our website are just a few of them.

New features have made our website even simpler to use, so booking a hotel is even easier! Small touches, such as a darker font to improve legibility and  a simpler search engine, mean you can find what you’re looking for quickly and easily. We’ve increased the size of our photographs, so they’re even more striking, and added new content, which is updated daily, to help you choose your hotel. Our brand new hotels are now shown on our homepage too, so you can easily see what’s new.

Here at Splendia, we are happy to launch a new function that allows you to recommend a hotel for our portfolio!

We want to find all those hidden gems around the world and we want you to participate. At Splendia, we truly value our customers’ opinions and pride ourselves on being customer-focused. What better than a personal recommendation? Trust is an important factor for us: we want you to be able to trust our selection without question. And we don’t want to miss a trick!

Rest assured, only hotels of the finest quality appear on Splendia. When a hotel is recommended, we’ll check it fits our selection criteria – importantly, to become a part of Splendia, a hotel must have character, something distinctive that makes it special – and, if it does, we’ll contact the hotel to arrange the details. Meet Oscar, our Chief Technical Officer

Let’s start with some basic things about yourself – who are you?

My name is Oscar and I’m a Catalan from Barcelona.

Splendia is a very international company – what languages do you speak?

I speak Catalan of course, Spanish, English, a bit of French and some Japanese

What are your responsibilities at Splendia?

I am the CTO (Chief Technical Officer) of Splendia, managing the IT department. We’re setting up new tools to contact our customers and give them a better experience in Splendia, like the new Call Center system and the new version of the website, with a great set of new features. I’m quite sure that out customers will appreciate all the new functionalities and services we’ll offer them and they will use Splendia services more and more when they need to choose the best hotels for their holidays or business trip. We’re extremely happy to tell you that after several months of intensive work, we have just launched a new version of our website!
